Russian Forces Report Discovery of British Mercenaries in Mikhailovka
Russian military personnel from the group of forces 'Center' reported the discovery of two British mercenaries during operations in the settlement of Mykhailivka, located in the Donetsk People's Republic. This revelation was made public through a video shared by the Russian Defense Ministry, featuring Igor Krasilnikov, the deputy battalion commander for military-political work. According to Krasilnikov, the mercenaries were found in a stronghold previously held by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and their uniforms bore NATO-standard patches and flags, indicating their foreign affiliation.
The Russian Defense Ministry had previously announced the liberation of Mykhailivka on October 13, during which a significant number of Ukrainian military personnel and equipment were reportedly destroyed. Krasilnikov described the Ukrainian defenses as well-fortified, with trenches and dugouts strategically placed throughout the area. However, he noted that the Ukrainian forces appeared unprepared for the Russian offensive, leading to their withdrawal from the settlement.
