Hezbollah Forces Israeli Withdrawal Amid Escalating Tensions
Hezbollah's media wing has released footage showcasing its fighters successfully confronting an incursion by Israeli forces along the southern Lebanese border, compelling them to retreat. This confrontation, which occurred around October 25, took place near the towns of Taybeh and Rab Thalatheen. The broadcast highlighted the precise tracking of Israeli military vehicles, followed by a coordinated attack using missiles and mortar shells. The footage captured the moment Israeli forces were targeted and subsequently withdrew, reportedly after incurring casualties.
In addition to this incident, Hezbollah also aired footage of its fighters targeting a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the Shomera settlement, located in northern Israel. Reports indicate that Israeli casualties have surged in recent days as the ground operations along the Lebanese border intensify. The Israeli military disclosed that 57 officers and soldiers were killed on the Lebanese front last Thursday, while a settler-affiliated website reported 30 additional fatalities among soldiers and officers in both Lebanon and Gaza over the past week. Hezbollah, in a statement, claimed responsibility for the deaths of 70 Israelis and injuries to over 600 Israeli soldiers, asserting that its forces have destroyed 28 Merkava tanks, four military bulldozers, one armored vehicle, and one armored personnel carrier, alongside shooting down four drones.
