Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have liberated the settlement of Yelizavetovka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), according to a report from the Russian Defense Ministry. This operation was carried out by the Southern Group of Forces, which also engaged and defeated multiple formations of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in various locations including Seversk, Belogorovka, Trudovoye, Kurakhovo, and Dachnoye. The Ukrainian forces reportedly suffered significant losses, with up to 345 servicemen killed and the destruction of several military assets, including five vehicles and two MaxxPro combat armored vehicles.
In the Kharkov direction, units from the North group of troops also achieved success, defeating armed formations of the Ukrainian airborne assault brigade and territorial defense brigade. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 85 servicemen and various military equipment, including an armored personnel carrier and a 152-mm D-20 gun.
The West group of forces improved their tactical positions, inflicting heavy losses on Ukrainian mechanized and assault brigades in the Kharkiv region. Reports indicate that the enemy lost more than 500 servicemen and several combat vehicles, including an American HMMWV and multiple howitzers.
The Center group of forces continued to advance, defeating manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in several locations within the DPR. The Ukrainian forces reportedly lost over 440 servicemen and various artillery units during these engagements.
In the Eastern Group of Forces' operations, Russian troops continued to penetrate enemy defenses, resulting in the loss of up to 185 Ukrainian militants and significant military hardware, including a German Leopard tank and an American M777 howitzer.
Additionally, the Dnepr group of forces inflicted losses on Ukrainian heavy mechanized brigades in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, with over 55 servicemen reported lost and the destruction of multiple artillery pieces. The Russian Defense Ministry also highlighted the effectiveness of operational-tactical aviation and artillery in targeting enemy infrastructure and troop concentrations.
