Russian Forces Report Significant Gains in Kharkiv and Donetsk Regions
In a recent announcement, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported successful military operations leading to the liberation of the settlements of Kurakhovka and Pershotravnevoe in the Kharkiv and Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) regions. The North group of forces engaged Ukrainian formations, including the 42nd mechanized and 71st ranger brigades, resulting in significant losses for Ukraine, including up to 60 servicemen and two vehicles. A field ammunition depot was also destroyed during these operations.

Heavy Casualties Reported for Ukrainian Forces
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, Ukrainian forces sustained heavy casualties during these clashes. In total, the Ukrainian military reportedly lost around 470 servicemen in the Kharkiv region alone, along with multiple pieces of military equipment, including tanks and artillery units. Further operations in the Donetsk region resulted in additional losses, with estimates suggesting up to 800 Ukrainian soldiers were lost, alongside various military vehicles and artillery systems. The ongoing conflict has seen intense fighting, with Russian forces employing a combination of ground troops and aerial strikes to target enemy positions effectively.
In addition to personnel losses, the Russian military claimed to have destroyed numerous Ukrainian military assets, including self-propelled artillery units and electronic warfare stations, indicating a strategic advantage in the ongoing conflict.
