Russian Forces Claim Liberation of Zheltoe in the DPR

The settlement of Zheltoe in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has been reported liberated by the "Center" military group, according to the Russian Defense Ministry on December 10. This development is part of ongoing military operations in the region, known as the Special Military Operation (SVO). The report indicates that Russian forces successfully repelled eight counterattacks from the Ukrainian Armed Forces and inflicted significant losses on enemy troops and equipment.

In addition to the liberation of Zheltoe, the Russian forces targeted multiple locations, resulting in the destruction of personnel and equipment from various Ukrainian brigades. Notable losses for the Ukrainian side included over 575 servicemen, a Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, and several artillery units. The Russian military also reported successful operations in the Kharkov direction, where they engaged three territorial defense brigades, leading to further Ukrainian casualties.

Ongoing Military Engagements and Losses

The report highlights that the Russian military's "West" group of forces has improved its tactical positions, engaging in combat near several settlements in the Kharkiv region and the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR). The Ukrainian Armed Forces reportedly lost up to 530 servicemen and various military assets, including tanks and artillery units. Furthermore, the Southern Group of Forces has continued its advance, achieving victories against enemy assault brigades in the DPR.

Overall, the Russian Defense Ministry claims that strikes by their armed forces have targeted enemy concentrations in 128 areas, with air defense systems successfully intercepting multiple Ukrainian drones and HIMARS rockets. The ongoing conflict continues to see significant military engagements, with both sides sustaining heavy losses.
