Qatar Stands in Solidarity with Lebanon Amid Ongoing Conflict

In a statement made on his official X account, the Emir condemned the international community's inaction regarding the conflict in Gaza, which he views as a catalyst for the expansion of hostilities in the region. He emphasized Qatar's commitment to providing humanitarian assistance to those affected by the Israeli aggression in Lebanon, directing rapid action to mobilize necessary resources.
During his address at the third summit of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue in Doha, Sheikh Tamim called for urgent efforts to halt the aggression against Lebanon and reaffirmed Qatar's rejection of Israeli military operations in the country. He highlighted the importance of respecting national sovereignty and territorial integrity while addressing the broader implications of the conflict, including Israel's ongoing settlement expansions in the West Bank. The Emir also labeled the actions of Israel in Gaza as genocide, reiterating Qatar's stance on the need for accountability for crimes against humanity. He stressed that true security can only be attained through the establishment of a just peace, advocating for an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders.
