Lyon Airport Introduces Innovative Security Check Reservation System

Lyon-Saint-Exupéry Airport, the fourth busiest airport in France, has launched a groundbreaking service named ZenLine, allowing travelers to reserve time slots for security checks. Announced on November 27, this initiative aims to alleviate the stress of airport travel by enabling passengers to bypass long queues. The service is entirely free and can be accessed through the airport's website and mobile application, specifically for those departing from Terminal 1.

The ZenLine system offers a selection of time slots that can be booked between seven days and 24 hours prior to departure. It utilizes an intelligent algorithm that considers factors such as flight schedules, aircraft occupancy, and current crowd levels to optimize the reservation process. This innovative approach is designed to enhance the travel experience by allowing passengers to manage their time effectively at the airport.

Cédric Fechter, Chairman of the Management Board of Aéroports de Lyon, emphasized the airport's commitment to passenger satisfaction, stating that the new service reflects their dedication to providing innovative solutions that prioritize the needs of travelers. By using the ZenLine service, passengers can arrive at the security checks at their reserved time and simply scan their boarding pass to gain immediate access, ensuring a smoother and more enjoyable journey.
