Israeli Forces Clash with Palestinian Resistance in West Bank

Israeli occupation forces conducted a series of raids across multiple cities in the West Bank early Wednesday, resulting in violent confrontations with Palestinian resistance fighters. The raids targeted areas such as Balata camp near Nablus, where clashes erupted following an attack on an Israeli bulldozer by resistance fighters using an explosive device. Reports indicate that Israeli settlers, escorted by military personnel, also invaded parts of Nablus, escalating tensions in the region.

In addition to Nablus, Israeli military operations extended to the Nazzal neighborhood in Qalqilya and the Ras Khamis suburb of Shuafat camp, located north of occupied Jerusalem. These actions have been part of a broader escalation in violence, with Palestinian sources reporting numerous confrontations across various locations, including Ramallah and Bethlehem. On Tuesday, resistance fighters were noted to have opened fire on the Shaked settlement near Jenin, and further clashes occurred in areas like the Ein camp and Odala in Nablus, where Molotov cocktails were reportedly thrown.

The situation in Jerusalem remains tense, with clashes reported in the Ashqariyah neighborhood. In Ramallah, confrontations included resistance against settlers, leading to the destruction of a vehicle. Clashes were also reported in Bethlehem's Husan and Al-Khader towns. In Hebron, violence erupted in the Al-Arroub camp, and residents of Umm Al-Khair confronted settlers, highlighting the ongoing cycle of violence in the region.

This surge in military activity comes amid a broader conflict in Gaza, which has seen significant casualties and injuries since October 7, 2023. According to reports, approximately 763 Palestinians have been killed, over 6,300 injured, and more than 11,000 arrested since the escalation began. The situation remains dire as both sides continue to engage in hostilities, drawing international concern and calls for restraint.
