Night Raids Intensify in the West Bank
The Israeli occupation forces have escalated their military operations in the West Bank, conducting multiple night raids across cities and villages. Reports indicate that the forces stormed cities such as Hebron and Nablus, targeting homes and businesses, leading to a significant number of arrests. In Hebron, a money exchange shop was raided while operations in Halhul and Beit Fajjar resulted in a wide-scale arrest campaign.
In Nablus, the situation was particularly tense as the Israeli army surrounded a house in the Balata camp, resulting in the arrest of a Palestinian. Clashes erupted in the town of Beit Furik, where four Palestinians, including two children, were injured by live ammunition, and several others suffered from tear gas exposure. The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that they treated multiple injuries, highlighting the ongoing violence in the region.
The Israeli military's actions come amidst a broader context of conflict, with significant casualties reported in both the West Bank and Gaza. Official Palestinian sources indicate that over 752 Palestinians have been killed and around 6,250 injured in the West Bank alone since the escalation of violence. The situation remains dire, with calls for international intervention growing louder as the humanitarian crisis deepens in Gaza.
