Two Palestinians Killed in West Bank Clashes

In a series of violent incidents in the West Bank, Israeli occupation forces shot and killed two Palestinians during a raid in Tulkarm. The Israeli military reported that the operation aimed to arrest wanted individuals, but escalated when two men, one armed, fled, leading to the fatal shooting. The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed that a child was injured by bullet shrapnel during the incident, marking a tragic consequence of the ongoing conflict.

Rising Tensions and Settler Violence

The situation in the West Bank has further deteriorated as settlers have increasingly attacked Palestinian farmers, particularly during the olive-picking season. Reports indicate that settlers expelled farmers from Kafr Qaddum and attacked others in Jalud and Shufa, with some incidents involving live gunfire. The Palestinian Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission noted over 250 such attacks since the start of the olive harvest, highlighting the growing tensions between settlers and Palestinian communities.

Arrests and Military Operations

In addition to the fatalities and injuries, Israeli forces conducted multiple raids across the West Bank, resulting in the arrest of six Palestinians. These operations were reported in various governorates, including Nablus, Jenin, and Ramallah. The Israeli army also demolished a house in Yatma, further exacerbating the humanitarian situation in the region. Since the onset of the Gaza conflict on October 7, 2023, official Palestinian sources report a staggering toll of 783 martyrs and 11,700 arrests, underscoring the escalating violence in the area.
