A Tel Aviv man faces serious charges for distributing sexual content of minors on Telegram, while Telegram CEO Pavel Durov faces legal scrutiny in France for alleged complicity in online sexual crimes. Discover the implications of these cases.

The prosecutor's office filed an indictment against Francois Mizrahi, a 25-year-old resident of Tel Aviv, for managing a set of groups on the Telegram application in which sexual content of 24 young Israeli women, more than half of them minors aged 13-18, was distributed, without their knowledge or consent.

According to the indictment submitted to the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court, Mizrahi established and managed 16 dedicated groups on Telegram, in which he used to distribute images and videos of a sexual nature, among other things during sexual acts, of young Israeli girls and minors, as well as of religious and ultra-Orthodox women, without their knowledge and without your consent About 2,100 users were members of these groups.

The sexual content distributed by the accused included, for the most part, the usernames of the young Israeli girls and minors on social networks, so that it was possible to identify them, locate them on social networks, and contact them personally. The main group he managed was free of charge, however Mizrahi managed additional paid groups whose entrance fees were between NIS 200 and 500 in order to watch their content. These groups contained 'premium content' that was not distributed in the free groups and in particular sexual content of Israeli, religious and ultra-Orthodox women, and minors.

At the time of his arrest, the defendant had additional sexual content in his Telegram accounts, with some of the content showing the defendant in sexual situations with some of the young women. In addition to distributing the content, Mizrahi is accused of possessing thousands of pedophile content and advertising the prostitution services of an adult girl in the Telegram groups he managed.

The victims of the offense testified to heavy damages as a result of the distribution of the content, including sexual harassment on social networks, mental distress, and social difficulties. Some had to change schools or start psychological treatment. Some of the victims first found out about the distribution of the content when the police contacted them proactively, after the arrest of the accused.

The prosecutor's office filed a request for Mizrahi's arrest until the end of the legal proceedings against him. He is accused of sexual harassment, invasion of privacy, and possession and consumption of obscene material featuring a minor.
