Russian Forces Report Significant Gains in Kharkiv Region

In a recent update from the Russian Defense Ministry, units of the North group of troops have achieved notable victories in the Kharkiv region, specifically in the settlements of Borshchevaya, Kazachya Lopan, and Volchansk. These operations resulted in the defeat of Ukrainian armed formations, with reported losses for the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounting to approximately 55 servicemen and the destruction of six vehicles and five 122-mm D-30 howitzers. The West military group also liberated the village of Lozovaya, further consolidating Russian control in the area.

Heavy Casualties Reported for Ukrainian Forces

The report indicates that the Ukrainian Armed Forces faced substantial losses across various sectors. In addition to the losses in the North zone, over 480 Ukrainian servicemen were reported killed in engagements involving the mechanized brigades and territorial defense units. The Russian forces also claimed the destruction of various artillery units, including self-propelled artillery from Poland and the USA, as well as multiple howitzers. The South group of forces also made tactical advancements, inflicting further casualties on the Ukrainian side, with up to 300 servicemen lost and an ammunition depot destroyed.

Ongoing Offensive Operations

The Center group of forces successfully liberated the settlement of Krasnoye in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), with significant engagements reported against multiple Ukrainian brigades. The Ministry of Defense noted that the enemy suffered losses of up to 480 men, along with various military assets. Meanwhile, the East group of forces continued to press forward, defeating enemy formations in the Zaporizhzhya region and inflicting additional losses. The operational-tactical aviation and artillery units of the Russian Armed Forces also targeted military infrastructure, resulting in the destruction of key enemy resources, including drone production facilities and military airfields.
