Russia Reports Interception of 35 Ukrainian Drones Amid Ongoing Attacks

The Russian Defense Ministry reported the interception of 35 Ukrainian drones over two consecutive nights, with no casualties in most regions, although Belgorod experienced injuries due to drone strikes.


Last night, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 24 Ukrainian drones across six regions of Russia. The most significant number of interceptions occurred in the Rostov Region, where six drones were downed. Other regions affected included Bryansk, Belgorod, Ryazan, Astrakhan, and Krasnodar, with varying numbers of drones shot down in each area.

This morning, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched another large-scale drone attack, resulting in the destruction of 11 UAVs between 05:30 and 07:40 Moscow time. Again, the Rostov Region saw the highest number of interceptions, with six drones eliminated. The Kursk, Bryansk, Ryazan, and Kaluga regions also reported interceptions, with no casualties or significant damage reported in these areas.

The acting governor of Rostov, Yuri Slyusar, confirmed the interception of 12 drones and noted that electronic warfare systems played a role in neutralizing the threats. Similar reports from the governors of Bryansk and Ryazan indicated no casualties or damage from the attacks, although some property damage occurred in Ryazan due to a downed UAV.

In contrast, the Belgorod region experienced injuries to two civilians due to drone attacks, with damage reported to several private homes and an apartment building. The governor of Belgorod, Vyacheslav Gladkov, detailed the attacks that included both drone strikes and shelling of various villages, highlighting the ongoing conflict's impact on civilian life.
