Russian Air Defense Intercepts Ukrainian Drones
Last night, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the successful interception of 13 Ukrainian drones over three regions of Russia, including Oryol, Kursk, and Bryansk. In a related incident, the Federal Security Service (FSB) neutralized a Ukrainian drone in Makeyevka, located in the Donetsk People's Republic. The drone was reportedly armed with an improvised explosive device but was intercepted before it could cause harm. Authorities confirmed that local residents were unharmed and that infrastructure remained intact following the attempted strike. This incident highlights the ongoing risks associated with drone warfare in the region.
Previous Attacks on Energodar
The situation in the Zaporizhia region has also been tense, with reports of a massive drone attack targeting the city of Energodar, which houses the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant. Local officials stated that several drones were shot down during this attack, and no casualties or damage were reported. The emphasis on vigilance from local authorities underscores the heightened security concerns surrounding critical infrastructure in the area.
