New Year Celebrations Begin at the National Center 'Russia'
The festive season has officially commenced at the 'Russia' national center in Moscow with the launch of the 'New Year Russia' project, which will run until February 1, 2025. The initiative aims to encapsulate the essence of Russian New Year traditions, creating a magical atmosphere for visitors of all ages. Director Natalia Virtuozova expressed hopes that the festivities would evoke childhood memories and a sense of wonder among attendees.
'Yolka Zhelaniy' Campaign to Spread Joy
A significant highlight of the celebrations is the 'Yolka Zhelaniy' campaign, aimed at bringing joy to children facing hardships. This initiative, organized by the 'Movement of the First' with support from 'Rosmolodezh.Dobro', invites participation from children aged three to 17 who are in difficult situations, including orphans and those from low-income families. The campaign, which has been running since 2018, has fulfilled over 210,000 children's wishes, showcasing the power of community support and volunteerism.
Expanding the Reach of Kindness
This year, the campaign has broadened its scope to include children from regions affected by conflict, such as Belgorod, Kursk, and Bryansk. Additionally, it welcomes participation from compatriots living abroad, emphasizing a collective effort to spread kindness and support. With over 10,000 volunteers already involved, the initiative is set to expand further, aiming to create a festive atmosphere that inspires hope and goodwill during the holiday season.
