Juliette Armanet Takes Center Stage in Upcoming Film 'Partir un jour'

In an exciting development for fans of French music and cinema, singer Juliette Armanet has been announced as the lead in the upcoming feature film 'Partir un jour,' set to hit theaters on October 1, 2025. Known for her hits like 'L'amour en solitaire' and 'Le Dernier jour du disco,' Armanet will share the spotlight with Bastien Bouillon, a rising star recognized for his role in 'La nuit du 12.'

The film, titled after the popular 1997 2Be3 song, follows the journey of a woman determined to open her own gourmet restaurant and fulfill her lifelong dream. However, her plans are interrupted by a family emergency, forcing her to return to her hometown after her father suffers a heart attack. In a twist of fate, she unexpectedly reunites with her childhood sweetheart, prompting a flood of memories and challenging her previously held beliefs about her life and future.

This film marks the directorial debut of Amélie Bonnin, who drew inspiration from her award-winning short film of the same name that won a César in 2023. Armanet, who has expressed a long-standing desire to act, previously appeared in the film 'Rosalie,' which was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival in 2023.

Beyond her music career, Armanet has made cameo appearances in various films, including Jean-Pierre Jeunet's 'Micmacs à tire-larigot' in 2009, showcasing her versatility as an artist.
