Funeral of Composer Mohamed Rahim Postponed Amid Suspicion of Foul Play
The Egyptian artistic community is mourning the unexpected death of composer Mohamed Rahim, who passed away at the age of 45. The news was announced by artist Tamer Hosny on Instagram, revealing that Rahim's funeral, initially scheduled for today, has been postponed. His brother, Taher Rahim, is expected to announce a new date. The postponement is linked to suspicions surrounding the circumstances of Rahim's death, as his brother reported concerns about potential foul play after receiving a call from Rahim's business manager, who could not reach him.
Local sources indicate that Rahim was found dead in his home, with visible bruises and wounds that raised alarms. Notably, his body showed signs of having been deceased for over 24 hours, including a swollen abdomen and cyanosis on the face. In light of these findings, authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter. However, initial forensic reports suggest that Rahim's death may have been due to natural causes, linked to health issues he had been experiencing, including a recent heart catheterization procedure.
