Israeli Forces Target Indonesian Hospital in Gaza
Israeli occupation forces have intensified their shelling of the Indonesian Hospital in Gaza, completely surrounding the facility and cutting off electricity, according to the hospital's director. The artillery strikes have focused on the second and third floors, posing serious risks to both medical staff and patients. The director has called for international intervention to preserve the health system in the region, which is already under severe strain due to ongoing conflict.
The situation in Gaza has reached a catastrophic state, as reported by the director of Al-Awda Hospital. Medical supplies are critically low, and the inability of medical teams to cope with the influx of injuries from the continuous bombings is exacerbating the crisis. A health ministry official revealed that civilians in areas like Jabalia are suffering from hunger and thirst due to the ongoing siege, with bodies of victims scattered in the streets as the shelling continues.
Rising Casualties Amid Ongoing Conflict
Recent reports indicate that the Israeli bombardment has resulted in significant casualties. On Friday alone, 64 people were reported killed, including 45 in Jabalia camp. The government media office in Gaza condemned the actions of the Israeli army, labeling them as a war of extermination and calling attention to the moral failure of the international community in addressing these atrocities. The director of government media in Gaza emphasized that the ongoing violence reflects a broader strategy of eradication in the region.
As the siege on Jabalia camp approaches its third week, the situation remains dire. The Israeli military announced an expansion of its operations in the area, with the Givati Brigade joining the 162nd Division to intensify military actions against what they describe as Palestinian resistance. This escalation comes as the humanitarian crisis deepens, with the health sector on the brink of collapse.
