Qassam Brigades Execute 'Bashaer Al-Nasr' Ambush: A Resilient Message from Gaza
In a striking demonstration of military resilience, the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, have launched an ambush operation dubbed 'Bashaer Al-Nasr' against Israeli forces in the southern Gaza Strip. This operation has been characterized as a significant response to claims by the Israeli army that they had dismantled the Rafah Brigade. Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi, a military and strategic expert, emphasized the importance of this operation, suggesting it sends a strong message not only to Israel but also to Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The ambush, which was captured in a video released by the Qassam Brigades, showcases several fighters targeting a convoy of Israeli vehicles, including a Merkava tank and a D9 bulldozer, using advanced weaponry such as the 'Yassin 105' shell. Al-Duwairi noted that the video reveals critical tactical elements, including monitoring and movement detection, and underscores the operational capabilities of the resistance despite the ongoing conflict, which has now extended over 355 days.
Al-Duwairi pointed out that the operation is significant as it contradicts Israeli assertions about the effectiveness of their military campaigns in Gaza. He indicated that the resistance's ability to execute such operations demonstrates its ongoing presence and capability to inflict damage on Israeli forces, even amidst extensive destruction in the region.
Furthermore, Al-Duwairi urged Hezbollah to recognize and respond to the resilience displayed by the Palestinian fighters, suggesting that Hezbollah's military capacity could significantly enhance the resistance efforts in the region. He highlighted that the current focus of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is shifting towards the northern front, potentially downplaying the situation in Gaza, which may lead to further miscalculations regarding the strength of the Palestinian resistance.
