Former Magistrate Sentenced for Disturbing Online Proposals
In a shocking case that has captured public attention, a former magistrate was sentenced to three years in prison with suspended probation after suggesting on libertine websites that others engage in sexual acts with his 13-year-old daughter. The sentencing took place in Paris on September 30, 2024, following a complex legal journey that spanned several years and multiple trials. The man, who served as the vice-president of the Dijon judicial court, was removed from his position following these allegations, which date back to between October 2019 and June 2020.
The legal proceedings began when a user of a libertine site reported the former magistrate's disturbing proposals. Despite not following through with any actions, the implications of his messages were severe enough to warrant legal action. Initially sentenced in March 2022 to two years in prison, one of which was firm, he faced a series of appeals that ultimately led to a final conviction for both incitement to corrupt a minor and incitement to commit rape.
In June 2023, the Court of Cassation reinstated the charge of incitement to commit rape, which had previously been overturned, solidifying the magistrate's guilt. This latest ruling not only resulted in a three-year prison sentence but also included significant restrictions on his future. His parental rights over his daughter were revoked, and he was banned from any profession involving minors for a decade. Additionally, he has been registered in the national sex offenders' register (Fijais).
This case raises critical questions about the responsibilities of individuals in positions of authority and the protection of minors in our society. The former magistrate's claims of

have drawn widespread condemnation, highlighting the need for vigilance against such predatory behavior.
