In Mesnil-Aubry, France, a head-on collision on the D316 claimed the life of a 64-year-old woman. The accident occurred around 11:30 p.m. when a woman attempted to overtake another vehicle, leading to a crash with an oncoming car. The driver of the overtaken vehicle, a 43-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Gonesse hospital. Unfortunately, the passenger in the other vehicle was trapped and suffered cardiac arrest upon rescue, with emergency services unable to revive her. A 22-year-old woman, who was driving the car with the deceased, was seriously injured and taken to Beaujon hospital in critical condition. Traffic was disrupted for approximately two hours as emergency responders managed the scene. Meanwhile, in Larimer County, Colorado, a Civil Air Patrol plane crashed during a training exercise, resulting in the deaths of two volunteers: pilot Susan Wolber and aerial photographer Jay Rhoten. The crash occurred around 11:12 a.m. MST in a remote area during a search and rescue drill. The co-pilot was injured and airlifted to a medical facility.
