El Al Airlines Announces Fixed Pricing for Key Destinations

El Al Airlines has unveiled a strategic pricing initiative aimed at providing affordable travel options for Israelis. In a meeting with the Minister of Economy, Nir Barkat, the airline set fixed prices for round-trip flights to four major destinations: Larnaca, Cyprus for $199, Athens, Greece for $299, and both Vienna, Austria and Dubai, UAE for $349. This pricing structure will be effective until the end of 2024, ensuring that all seats on these flights are available at these competitive rates. The initiative comes in response to the recent cancellation of many international flights by foreign airlines, aiming to facilitate easier travel for Israelis to global destinations.

Enhanced Connectivity and Support for Israeli Travelers

The new pricing model is part of El Al's efforts to support the Israeli public, especially those affected by flight cancellations due to ongoing conflicts. The airline has committed to increasing its flight schedule to Athens and Larnaca, allowing for better connectivity to international airports. With approximately 80,000 seats available for purchase, travelers can now enjoy the flexibility of booking flights to these hubs and connecting to numerous onward destinations around the world. El Al's CEO, Dina Ben Tal Gnansia, emphasized the importance of providing certainty in air travel during these challenging times, stating that this initiative will enhance options for Israeli passengers seeking to travel abroad.

Commitment to Service and Adaptability Amid Challenges

In addition to the fixed pricing, El Al is implementing a flexible cancellation policy to accommodate travelers' needs. This policy will be applicable even for tickets that typically do not allow cancellations, reflecting the airline's commitment to customer service. The Ministry of Economy has supported this initiative, recognizing the critical role of aviation in maintaining connectivity for Israelis. With flights from these key destinations offering extensive international routes—Larnaca with 1,000 weekly flights, Athens with 2,500, Vienna with 4,000, and Dubai with 8,500—El Al is poised to significantly enhance the travel experience for its passengers.
