Changes to University Admissions in Russia

The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia has announced significant updates to the university admission process, which will be effective from March 2025 through September 2029. These changes aim to streamline the admission of applicants to both budget and fee-paying places across various programs. According to the new regulations, universities must finalize the admission of budget applicants for bachelor's degree programs by August 2-3, with the main stage of admissions occurring on August 6-7 and an additional stage on August 10-11. For fee-paying places, admissions must be concluded by September 30.

New Procedures for Master's Programs

In addition to the changes for bachelor's programs, the updated procedures also affect master's degree admissions. Enrollment for master's programs must be completed by August 29 for the main admissions and by September 20 for additional admissions. Similar to bachelor's programs, admissions for fee-paying master's places must also be finalized by September 30.
