The Polish Border Guard reported that Usyk and his coach were detained after they refused to leave the gate when a companion was denied boarding. Polish officials described the duo as “nervous,” while Usyk later characterized the incident as a misunderstanding.

Denmark Steps Up Support for Ukraine with F-16 Fighter Jets

The Danish government had previously promised a total of 19 F-16s, with the first batch already delivered at the end of July. Defense Minister Troels Lund Poelsen announced that more jets would be sent before the end of the year, although specific delivery dates remain unspecified.
The introduction of F-16s is seen as a pivotal move to enhance Ukraine’s air defense capabilities. However, a major challenge lies in training pilots to operate these advanced aircraft. Ukrainian soldiers are currently undergoing training in Romania at the Fetesti air base, which has been set up through a coalition involving the Netherlands, Denmark, and the United States. Despite the urgency, experts caution that it will take several years to adequately train enough personnel to operate the expected 80 aircraft effectively.
