Young Man Stabbed to Death in Haute-Saône: 17-Year-Old Arrested
A tragic incident occurred in Luxeuil-les-Bains, Haute-Saône, where a 22-year-old man was fatally stabbed during an altercation at a party late Saturday night. The altercation involved four young men and a 17-year-old woman, all of whom were reportedly consuming drugs and alcohol. According to Vesoul public prosecutor Arnaud Grécourt, the young man intervened in a dispute and was struck with a single stab wound to the chest.
Witnesses at the scene immediately contacted emergency services; however, the young man succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The 17-year-old woman, who is currently unemployed and not attending school, has been identified by witnesses as the perpetrator of the stabbing. Alongside her, three other adult males present during the incident were also taken into custody for questioning.
The prosecutor indicated that the young woman may be presented to an investigating judge following her police custody, while the three men are expected to be released. The Vesoul public prosecutor's office is contemplating the initiation of a judicial investigation for murder, with the case likely to be transferred to the Besançon criminal investigation unit.
