Russian actress Kamila Belyatskaya, 24, tragically died during a yoga session on the beach in Koh Samui, Thailand, after being swept away by a giant wave. The incident occurred on Friday in the Lad Koh area of Bo Phut district, highlighting the dangers associated with high waves during the monsoon season. Surveillance footage captured her arrival at the parking lot at 12:57 p.m., where she was seen carrying a foam yoga mat before heading towards the rocky cliffs overlooking the Gulf of Thailand.

Despite attempts by a passerby to rescue her, the high waves, reaching heights of 2-3 meters, made it impossible. Rescue teams faced challenges due to the adverse weather conditions, and her body was later discovered on Chaweng Noi Beach on Saturday evening. Her friend Grigory Anokhin confirmed her identity after local officials identified the body.

Local authorities have emphasized the importance of adhering to safety warnings during the monsoon season, with red flags raised in dangerous areas to prevent swimming. The head of the Samui Rescue Centre, Chaiporn Suprasert, noted that the area where the accident occurred is not designated for swimming, underscoring the need for caution in coastal regions during turbulent weather.
