In a tragic development during ongoing military actions in the Kursk region, Ukrainian actor Peter the Great, known for his work at the Chernihiv Drama Theater, was killed while serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The news of his death was confirmed by the theater's Deputy Director, Alexander Maishev, who expressed condolences on social media, stating, "On the shield." Peter, aged 48, had been a dedicated member of the theater for 20 years and had over 35 roles to his credit.

The Ministry also noted that since the beginning of the special military operation, Ukrainian losses have reached approximately 906,500 soldiers killed and wounded, with this year's losses surpassing those of the first two years combined.
Ongoing Conflict and Military Developments
The situation in the Kursk region remains tense, with the Russian Defense Ministry announcing the complete liquidation of a Ukrainian group that was previously blocked in the Olgovskaya Roshcha area. This follows a series of successful operations by Russian troops, which reportedly led to significant Ukrainian casualties, including over 80 militants killed during an attempted breakout.
Additionally, reports have surfaced of Ukrainian militants being ambushed by Russian intelligence officers near a railway bridge in the village of Russkaya Konopelka. The ambush resulted in several militants being killed, while others surrendered. The conflict continues to evolve, with both sides experiencing significant losses as military operations intensify.
