The skeletal remains of a man, missing for 15 years, were discovered in a home in Erstroff, Moselle, by the new owners during renovations. The public prosecutor, Olivier Glady, confirmed the discovery was made on Saturday afternoon in an outbuilding attached to the main house. The area was difficult to access, and the remains were found hidden under the roof of the outbuilding. The former owner, who disappeared in 2009 at the age of 81, is believed to be the deceased, although forensic identification is pending. The prosecutor indicated that the scene suggests the possibility of suicide, as a rope was found hanging in the attic.
