Russian Forces Target Ukrainian Drone Production and Military Units
In a recent escalation of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Russian troops have intensified their attacks on Ukrainian Armed Forces, particularly focusing on drone production sites in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions. Over the past 24 hours, the Russian Defense Ministry reported significant losses inflicted on Ukrainian forces, including the destruction of several military units and equipment.
Units from the North group of forces in the Kharkiv direction successfully engaged the 57th motorized infantry and 92nd airborne assault brigades, resulting in the loss of up to 90 Ukrainian servicemen and a 122-mm howitzer D-30. Meanwhile, the Southern group of forces reported improved tactical positions, defeating various Ukrainian brigades and repelling counterattacks, leading to a total of approximately 645 Ukrainian casualties along with the loss of multiple vehicles and artillery systems.
The West group of forces also made significant gains, targeting the 54th, 60th, 67th, and 116th mechanized brigades. The Ukrainian forces faced further losses, with over 450 servicemen reported dead, along with various military equipment, including US-made armored vehicles and artillery. The Vostok and Center forces continued to push deeper into enemy defenses, resulting in the destruction of additional military assets and further casualties.
Moreover, Russian operational-tactical aviation and missile troops targeted temporary deployment points of foreign mercenaries and UAV production workshops, emphasizing the strategic focus on crippling Ukraine's drone capabilities. The air defense systems successfully intercepted multiple HIMARS rockets and UAVs, showcasing the ongoing intensity of aerial confrontations in the region.
