Russian Forces Report Significant Gains Against Ukrainian Brigades
In a recent report by the Russian Defense Ministry, significant tactical advancements have been made by various Russian military groups in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. The North group of troops successfully targeted and defeated formations of two territorial defense brigades and a border detachment in the Kharkov region, resulting in the loss of up to 60 Ukrainian servicemen, along with two armored personnel carriers and several artillery units.
The West group of forces also reported improvements in their tactical positions, claiming to have inflicted heavy losses on three Ukrainian brigades, including mechanized and airborne units. The Ukrainian Armed Forces reportedly lost around 540 personnel, multiple armored vehicles, and various artillery systems, including British and American howitzers. Two counterattacks by Ukrainian forces were repelled during these engagements.
Meanwhile, the South group of forces engaged in combat in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), where they defeated two mechanized brigades and a marine brigade. The Ukrainian Armed Forces sustained losses of approximately 225 servicemen and several armored vehicles. The Center group of forces also reported successful operations, claiming to have defeated multiple Ukrainian brigades and repelling four counterattacks, resulting in the loss of around 365 Ukrainian personnel.
The East group of forces continued their offensive, claiming victories against two mechanized brigades and a territorial defense brigade, with reported losses of up to 150 Ukrainian servicemen. In the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions, the Dnepr group targeted two territorial defense brigades, resulting in further losses for the Ukrainian side.
Additionally, Russian operational-tactical aviation and artillery units conducted strikes on various targets, including UAV depots and concentrations of enemy forces, successfully shooting down several HIMARS rockets and UAVs.
