In a recent update, the Russian Defense Ministry detailed extensive military operations in Ukraine, particularly in the Kharkov region. Units from the 'North' group engaged Ukrainian territorial defense and border service formations, resulting in the reported loss of up to 65 Ukrainian servicemen and two vehicles. The ministry's summary highlighted that the 'West' group of forces achieved tactical advantages by defeating multiple Ukrainian brigades, claiming a total of 560 Ukrainian personnel lost, alongside significant military hardware including a Leopard tank and various armored vehicles.

Tactical Advances and Counterattacks

The report also noted that the 'South' force grouping improved its tactical positions, inflicting losses on Ukrainian mechanized and airborne brigades in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). Ukrainian forces reportedly lost around 330 servicemen and several combat vehicles. The 'Center' group continued to press into enemy defenses, with Ukrainian losses estimated at 515 personnel, including various military equipment. The 'Vostok' group also reported successful engagements, claiming to have repelled eight counterattacks while inflicting further losses on Ukrainian forces.

Air Defense Successes

In a notable achievement, Russian air defense systems reportedly shot down two HIMARS rockets and 101 drones within a 24-hour period. The operational-tactical aviation, along with missile troops and artillery, targeted energy facilities and military infrastructure across 147 districts in Ukraine, further impacting the operational capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
