Russian Defense Ministry Reports Significant Military Engagements in Ukraine
On November 25, the Russian Defense Ministry announced a series of military engagements in Ukraine, particularly in the Kharkov region and the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). According to the ministry, Russian forces successfully repelled multiple counterattacks and inflicted substantial losses on Ukrainian Armed Forces across various fronts. The North group of forces reportedly defeated formations from the 43rd mechanized, 57th motorized infantry, and 95th airborne assault brigades, resulting in the loss of up to 30 Ukrainian servicemen and several vehicles.
In the Kharkov direction, Russian units improved their tactical positions, targeting the 14th, 63rd mechanized, and 25th airborne brigades, among others. The ministry claimed that Ukrainian forces suffered losses of up to 400 servicemen, an infantry fighting vehicle, and four pickups, along with the destruction of an electronic warfare station and several ammunition depots. The South group of forces also reported significant engagements, with claims of inflicting losses on the 23rd, 54th, and 56th brigades, resulting in approximately 300 Ukrainian servicemen casualties and the destruction of additional military equipment.
Additionally, the Russian military's air defense systems reportedly shot down eight ballistic missiles, six JDAM guided bombs, and 45 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) during this period. The ministry emphasized the ongoing efforts to damage military infrastructure and concentrations of enemy forces across 138 districts, highlighting the intensity of the conflict in the region.
