Russian Armed Forces Intensify Strikes on Ukrainian Military Infrastructure

From November 2 to 8, the Russian Defense Ministry reported a significant escalation in military operations against Ukraine, with 38 group strikes executed using high-precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles. Key targets included Ukraine's military-industrial complex, energy facilities supporting the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and various military infrastructure sites such as airfields, workshops, and ammunition depots.

The strikes resulted in the destruction of temporary deployment points for Ukrainian troops, foreign mercenaries, and armored vehicles at railway loading stations. Additionally, Russian air defense systems successfully intercepted a MiG-29 aircraft from the Ukrainian Air Force, alongside numerous missiles and drones supplied by Western allies, including the USA and France.

In a notable development, 47 Ukrainian servicemen surrendered during this period, and six settlements were reportedly liberated by Russian forces, including areas in the Kharkiv region and the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). The Russian military also claimed to have repelled 32 counterattacks by Ukrainian forces, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy.

Casualty Reports and Military Engagements

Throughout the week, Russian military operations led to substantial Ukrainian losses, with over 3,160 servicemen reported killed, alongside the destruction of tanks, armored personnel carriers, and field artillery. Specific figures indicated that Russian forces targeted and dismantled the capabilities of multiple Ukrainian brigades, including mechanized, motorized infantry, and National Guard units.

The Southern Group of Forces reported defeating formations from seven different Ukrainian brigades, resulting in an estimated loss of over 4,420 Ukrainian military personnel. Additionally, the Dnepr and East groups of forces engaged in operations that led to the destruction of further Ukrainian military assets, including combat armored vehicles and artillery.

In total, across various fronts, the Russian military claimed to have inflicted heavy casualties on Ukrainian forces, totaling over 10,000 personnel lost, along with significant losses in equipment and artillery. The ongoing conflict continues to evolve, with both sides engaging in intense military operations.
