Ronaldo Pushes for De Bruyne Transfer to Al-Nassr
Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly urged Al-Nassr's management to make a significant bid for Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne. According to the Daily Mirror, Ronaldo believes that securing De Bruyne's services could be pivotal in helping Al-Nassr clinch titles in the competitive Saudi Professional League. The proposed offer would be a staggering $1.3 billion per week, underlining Ronaldo's commitment to enhancing the club's roster.
Currently, Al-Nassr sits fourth in the league standings with three wins and two draws, while Ronaldo himself has contributed four goals to the team's efforts. Last season, the club failed to secure any silverware, but Ronaldo is optimistic that the addition of a player of De Bruyne's caliber could turn their fortunes around.
De Bruyne's contract with Manchester City is set to expire at the end of the 2024-2025 season, and the Belgian international has previously expressed a willingness to consider a move to the Saudi league. In September, he remarked, "At my age, you have to be open to everything. You are talking about unbelievable amounts of money for what could be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about that."
However, the midfielder is currently battling injuries, having missed crucial matches against Arsenal and Newcastle due to a thigh issue, and he was sidelined for a significant portion of the previous season with a hamstring injury. Belgium's coach, Domenico Tedesco, confirmed that De Bruyne requested to miss upcoming Nations League matches, indicating his ongoing struggles with fitness.
