Qatar Advocates for Dialogue in Syrian Crisis
In a recent statement, Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Mohammed Al-Khalifi emphasized that dialogue remains the only viable pathway to securing a bright future for Syria. He expressed optimism regarding the recent developments in Syria, asserting that these steps could pave the way for stability. Al-Khalifi reiterated Qatar's commitment to supporting peaceful solutions that uphold the rights of the Syrian people, stating, "Our position is firm in supporting peaceful solutions to guarantee the rights of the Syrians."
Al-Khalifi highlighted Qatar's ongoing communication with various parties involved in the Syrian conflict, reaffirming that the nation has consistently opened its doors to support the Syrian populace. He noted that Qatar's efforts are a reflection of its solidarity with the Syrian people.
In parallel, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani had a conversation with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, discussing the situations in both the Gaza Strip and Syria. The Prime Minister reiterated Qatar's unwavering support for regional and international initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and fostering peace in the region.
Additionally, discussions were held between Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman and Jordan's Deputy Prime Minister Ayman Safadi regarding the ongoing crises in Gaza and Syria.
