On August 26, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed federal authorities to organize the education of schoolchildren in the Kursk, Belgorod, and Bryansk regions. Among other things, the President mentioned the need to develop a distance learning format for schoolchildren from the evacuated border areas of these regions.
According to data as of August 15, which was cited on the air of the program 'Soloviev LIVE' by the acting deputy governor of the region Viktor Karmyshev, in Kursk Oblast alone there are more than 14 thousand schoolchildren forced to leave their homes due to shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. 3 thousand of them left for other regions.
On August 26, the head of the Russian Ministry of Education Sergey Kravtsov visited the Kursk region on a working visit, where he held a meeting with teachers and representatives of the local Ministry of Education and Science. The head of the department noted that in the new academic year, some educational institutions in the region will work in person, and some - remotely.
We have all the necessary resources for this, first of all, the state information system 'My School'. We will also provide all schoolchildren with textbooks. In a number of schools, the educational process will be organized in a mixed format. We are in touch with the regions where temporary accommodation centers have been created. There, too, all children have the opportunity to go to school on September 2,' noted Sergey Kravtsov.
