New Organic Vineyard Blossoms in Belle-Île-en-Mer
Grégory Debruyne, a market gardener, is spearheading the first organic wine production on Belle-Île-en-Mer, located in Morbihan, France. The vineyard, Vignes de Kerdonis, spans 11.5 hectares and showcases grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Viognier, and Chenin. This initiative aims to cultivate traditional continental grape varieties in the island's salty air, reflecting a growing trend towards sustainable agriculture. With four of its six plots situated in a Natura 2000 zone, the vineyard underscores a commitment to environmental preservation and organic farming practices.

Sustainable Tourism and Local Economies
The upcoming International Alba White Truffle Fair will be accessible via the Langhe-Monferrato Express, a night train service connecting Rome to Alba. This initiative aims to promote sustainable tourism while showcasing the rich culinary heritage of the region. Mayor Alberto Gatto emphasizes the importance of such projects in fostering local growth and preserving traditions. Both the vineyard in Belle-Île-en-Mer and the truffle fair in Alba represent a shift towards environmentally conscious practices in their respective regions.
