Disney's "Moana 2" continues to lead the box office, surpassing $700 million globally, with strong performances in both North America and Oceania.

The sustained success of "Moana 2" highlights Disney's stronghold in the animated film market, particularly with sequels that resonate with audiences.

The performance of "Wicked" indicates a growing trend of successful adaptations from stage to screen, appealing to both musical fans and moviegoers.

The box office figures suggest a competitive landscape, with multiple films performing well, but Disney's dominance remains evident with both "Moana 2" and "Oceania 2" leading the charts.

As the holiday season approaches, it is likely that "Moana 2" will continue to attract family audiences, potentially increasing its box office revenues further.

The success of adaptations like "Wicked" may encourage more studios to invest in bringing stage productions to the big screen, leading to a rise in musical films in the coming years.

The box office trends indicate a potential recovery in cinema attendance post-pandemic, as audiences return for major releases.

Disney's animated film "Moana 2" continues to dominate the global box office, surpassing $700 million in total revenue. The film has earned $337 million in North America alone, making it the top film for three consecutive weeks. Featuring the voices of Auli'i Cravalho and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, "Moana 2" is a sequel to the highly successful original released in 2016.

In the North American box office, "Moana 2" grossed $26.6 million over the weekend, while the second place went to the Broadway adaptation "Wicked," which earned $22.5 million and has now surpassed $500 million globally. The third spot was taken by "Kraven the Hunter," which grossed $11 million, followed by Ridley Scott's "Gladiator 2" with $7.8 million, and "The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim" with $4.6 million.

In Oceania, "Oceania 2" (another title for "Moana 2") has sold nearly 16 million euros in tickets over the past three weeks, maintaining its top position in the Cinetel charts with a weekend collection of 1.9 million euros. The new film "Cattivissimi a Natalee" debuted in second place with over 747 thousand euros, while "Kraven - The Deer Hunter" came in third with 634 thousand euros. Other notable films include "Naples - New York" and "The Room Next Door," which have also been performing well at the box office.
