Arrest of Suspected Serial Killer in Nairobi
A suspected serial killer was arrested Monday morning in connection with the discovery of nine bodies, including at least eight women, found in plastic bags in a landfill south of Nairobi, Kenya. The head of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, Amin Mohammed, announced the arrest at a press conference, labeling the 33-year-old suspect as a 'psychopathic serial killer' who has no respect for human life.
Shocking Confession and Evidence
Following his arrest, the suspect allegedly confessed to the murders of 42 women. A machete, believed to have been used to dismember the victims, was found during a search of the suspect’s home, which is located approximately 100 meters from the dump. The first victim is believed to be the suspect's wife, whom he allegedly strangled before dismembering her.
Ongoing Investigation and Second Arrest
The victims, aged between 18 and 30, were all killed using the same method. The first mutilated bodies were discovered on Friday in the landfill. In a related development, a second suspect was arrested in possession of one of the victim's phones. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to uncover more details about this horrifying case.
- This case has drawn comparisons to the Shakahola massacre, where over 400 bodies were discovered in mass graves in Kenya. Most of those victims had been strangled or suffocated, while others starved themselves to 'join Jesus Christ' as claimed by self-proclaimed pastor Paul Nthenge Mackenzie, who is currently on trial.
- The recent discoveries have shocked the local community and raised concerns about the safety of women in the region. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they continue their investigation into these tragic events.
