Serious Incident in Isère: 8-Year-Old Child in Critical Condition

A tragic incident occurred on Sunday morning in Villefontaine, Isère, where an 8-year-old child fell from the fourth floor of a residential building. The child's vital prognosis is currently engaged, prompting an investigation into attempted homicide, as confirmed by the Vienne prosecutor's office. Prosecutor Olivier Rabot reported that the child was found in cardiorespiratory arrest when emergency services arrived, necessitating immediate resuscitation before he was transported to the women's mother and child hospital in Bron (Rhône).

In connection with this incident, the child's 26-year-old brother has been taken into police custody. He is suspected of having pushed his younger sibling from the building. Reports indicate that the brother exhibited aggressive behavior during his arrest at their family apartment, leading authorities to request a psychiatric examination. The investigation, focusing on the attempted homicide of a minor, has been assigned to the Bourgoin Research Brigade, which will work to uncover the details surrounding this tragic event.
