Israeli Forces Intensify Operations in West Bank Amid Ongoing Clashes

In a significant escalation of tensions, Israeli occupation forces have conducted early morning raids across several cities and towns in the West Bank, leading to multiple arrests of Palestinian individuals. The latest operations, which took place today, saw forces storming the city of Nablus, where they fired sound bombs and destroyed the Martyrs' Monument in the Makhfiya area. Residential buildings were also raided, causing extensive damage.

Clashes erupted in the Askar refugee camp, where resistance fighters confronted the occupation forces. Reports indicate that five Palestinians were arrested during these confrontations, including a prominent figure, the head of the Syndicate of Social and Psychological Specialists in Palestine. Meanwhile, in the town of Tuqu', located south of Bethlehem, ten young men were apprehended, alongside the arrest of freed prisoner Majd Hourani in his home.

The situation escalated further in Jerusalem, where Israeli forces stormed the Qalandia camp, conducting searches and arrests. Eyewitness accounts revealed that two young men were taken from their homes during these operations. Additionally, large contingents of Israeli police and military forces, supported by a bulldozer, initiated the demolition of commercial facilities near the Shuafat military camp checkpoint, exacerbating the already tense atmosphere in the area.

In Hebron, the Jabal Abu Rumman area was also targeted, with forces searching and destroying Palestinian vehicles. These actions come in the wake of the Battle of the Flood of Al-Aqsa on October 7, which has seen a marked increase in military operations and settler violence against Palestinians. Official Palestinian sources report that the ongoing conflict has resulted in the martyrdom of 719 Palestinians, including 160 children, with approximately 6,200 injuries and around 11,000 arrests since the escalation began.
