Ukrainian-Russian Dual National Arrested in France for Suspected Terrorist Plot

Authorities found mobile phones configured to act as detonation devices, traces of ammonium nitrate, and materials such as match powder and barbecue firelighters wrapped in plastic, suggesting an elaborate plan.

Further investigations revealed that the suspect had served two years in the Russian army and exhibited strong pro-Russian sentiments. Authorities also uncovered money, fake passports, and weapons in his possession. The Pnat initiated an inquiry on June 4 for participation in a criminal terrorist association and possession of explosives in connection with a terrorist enterprise.
