Escalation of Violence in Gaza: Resistance Attacks and Israeli Airstrikes

The ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip has intensified as the Palestinian resistance launched a series of rocket attacks targeting Israeli military positions. Reports indicate that rockets were fired from the northern Gaza Strip towards Ashkelon and the Kissufim military site, resulting in the destruction of seven military vehicles and the death of 15 Israeli soldiers. Despite these attacks, Israeli forces have continued their airstrikes, leading to significant casualties among the Palestinian population.

According to the Israeli army, two rockets landed in an open area near Ashkelon without causing injuries, but the situation remains tense as sirens were activated in the region due to fears of further attacks. The Martyr Abu Ali Mustafa Brigades claimed responsibility for targeting the Kissufim military site, while the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, reported successfully detonating explosive devices against Israeli forces in various locations, including the Jabalia camp.

In retaliation, Israeli airstrikes have reportedly killed at least 27 Palestinians since dawn today, with significant casualties reported in Jabalia and other areas. Medical sources confirmed that the death toll from the ongoing conflict has reached over 42,175, with nearly 100,000 individuals wounded since the outbreak of hostilities on October 7, 2023.
