Colonel Ahsan Daksa of the IDF was killed in a bomb blast during operations in the northern Gaza Strip, while the IDF continues its offensive against Hamas. The incident also involved the death of three Lebanese army soldiers, which the IDF stated was unintentional.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) are conducting extensive operations in the Jabaliya area of the northern Gaza Strip, targeting Hamas infrastructure as part of Division 162's ongoing activities. Recent military actions have resulted in significant damage to Hamas, with numerous terrorists reported killed or captured.

Tragically, Colonel Ahsan Daksa of the 401st Brigade was killed during an operational activity when an explosive device detonated at an observation point approximately 20 meters from his tanks. Three other officers were injured, with one in serious condition. The IDF quickly evacuated the wounded for medical treatment.

In the aftermath of Colonel Daksa's death, temporary leadership changes were made within the IDF. Brigadier General Meir Biderman has been appointed as the acting commander of the 401st Brigade, while Lt. Col. Daniel Ella has resumed command of the 52nd Battalion.

The IDF has also reported an incident in which three Lebanese army soldiers were killed when a truck, which was not marked as military, approached IDF forces and was subsequently attacked. The IDF clarified that it does not target Lebanese army soldiers and is investigating the incident.
