Continuous Humanitarian Aid from China to Gaza

In response to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, the One Heart Charitable Foundation from Zhujiang Province, eastern China, has been actively coordinating aid efforts since the onset of the “Al-Aqsa Flood” battle in October 2023. This initiative has garnered attention for its commitment to providing essential supplies to the people of Gaza and refugee camps in Lebanon. Over the past year, the foundation has organized 112 relief campaigns, distributing food and other necessities to approximately 540,000 individuals affected by the conflict.

Comprehensive Support Initiatives

The foundation's efforts extend beyond food distribution. Secretary-General Chiu Siu emphasized the importance of collaborating with local Palestinian volunteers to address the community's needs effectively. The foundation has provided ready-made meals, blankets, winter clothing, and medical supplies, alongside psychological support programs for children traumatized by the conflict. Notably, they established healthcare points in northern Gaza, offering financial and medical assistance despite significant challenges in delivering supplies.

Official Chinese Government Support

The Chinese government has also played a role in addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Official statements from the Foreign Ministry highlight Beijing's concern over the conflict and its commitment to providing aid. President Xi Jinping announced a $70 million relief plan for Gaza, with previous aid packages including $3 million for displaced individuals and additional support through the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). These efforts reflect China's broader humanitarian stance and commitment to alleviating suffering in conflict zones.
