Teenage Boy Tragically Dies After Being Shot in Nice
A 15-year-old teenager who was fighting for his life after being seriously injured by gunfire on Friday, passed away on Monday morning as a result of his injuries. This heartbreaking incident took place around 10 p.m. in the Fleurs district of Nice, a neighborhood notorious for drug trafficking activities. The teen was struck in the head and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
According to initial police reports, two individuals on a large-engine scooter burst into the area before opening fire in the teenager’s direction. One of the bullets hit him in the head. The assailants continued firing in the direction of a nearby building while fleeing the scene. The charred remains of the scooter were discovered about two kilometers from the incident site.
Eyewitnesses recount the horrifying scene, with one resident describing one of the assailants holding a 'big gun.' 'There were two young girls sitting on a bench who also saw the scene; they screamed, and everyone left,' they told Nice-Matin.
