The Lebanese Ministry of Health has reported significant casualties, with 37 deaths and 151 injuries recorded from recent Israeli airstrikes. In the United States, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer has called for increased efforts to assist Americans stranded in Lebanon. Following the death of Kamel Ahmed Jawad, an American killed in an Israeli airstrike, Whitmer urged the federal government to take swift action. The U.S. State Department has indicated that over 250 Americans have utilized evacuation flights, with approximately 7,000 registered citizens seeking information on leaving the country. They are working to enhance commercial flight options to facilitate the safe exit of U.S. citizens.
