Tragic Fire at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital Claims Lives of Displaced Family in Gaza

On October 14, Israeli occupation forces targeted the tents of displaced people at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Gaza, resulting in a devastating fire that claimed the lives of several individuals, including 20-year-old Shaaban Al-Dalo and his mother, Alaa. This incident marked a significant escalation in violence, as it was the seventh attack on the hospital since the beginning of the year. Shaaban's father, Ahmed Al-Dalo, described the harrowing scene where he witnessed his children burning and made a desperate attempt to save his family. Despite his efforts, Shaaban succumbed to the flames, while Ahmed managed to rescue his younger children. The attack resulted in the destruction of 40 to 50 tents, leaving over 40 people injured, many of whom were women and children. Dr. Khalil Al-Daqran, a spokesman for the hospital, stated that the injuries were severe, with many suffering from second and third-degree burns, and highlighted the use of internationally banned incendiary weapons by Israeli forces.
