Stade Toulouse's Double Victory Celebration
The years go by and they are the same in Toulouse: once again, the fans were able to celebrate the exploits of the Stade Toulouse. After their resounding victory in the Top 14 final this Friday in Marseille against Union Bordeaux Bègles (59-3), Antoine Dupont and his team returned home on Saturday to a hero's welcome. They arrived shortly after 8 p.m. on the Place du Capitole to celebrate with their fans.
A Triumphant Return Home
The Toulouse team arrived aboard a bus marked “Double Champions”, since the rugby players also won the Champions Cup this season. They proudly held up the two trophies in front of a crowd drunk with joy. In order to be seen by all the fans, they then climbed onto the balcony of the Capitol to display their treasures. Before arriving at Place du Capitole, the Stade Toulouse players were welcomed by numerous supporters at the airport, where they had already brandished the Shield of Brennus.
Festivities in Marseille and Toulouse
The party had started the day before in Marseille, with celebrations in the Vélodrome locker rooms. As is their tradition, the Toulouse players, who protected their eyes with ski goggles, had fun playing the game of “stomach slide”, sliding flat on their stomachs on the ground and headbutting the Shield of Brennus. The celebrations continued the next day at Place du Capitole, where despite an overcast sky and a significant delay at Toulouse-Blagnac airport, the fans' enthusiasm did not wane.
- Stade Toulousain, winner of the Brennus Shield for the 23rd time in its history, celebrated its title this Saturday at Place du Capitole. In a completely crazy atmosphere, the Toulouse supporters welcomed their heroes with immense joy and enthusiasm.
- Ugo Mola and Antoine Dupont first held up the Champions Cup and Top 14 trophies, marking a historic season for the team. The celebrations were a testament to the team's hard work and dedication, and the unwavering support of their fans.
