Russian Forces Report Significant Gains in Eastern Ukraine
The Russian Defense Ministry has released a detailed report outlining recent military operations in the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, particularly highlighting the achievements of various troop groupings. Notably, units from the 'Center' group have successfully liberated the settlement of Novaya Ilyinka in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This advancement is part of a broader offensive that has seen Russian forces inflict substantial losses on Ukrainian military units across several regions.
In the Kharkiv direction, the North group of troops engaged and defeated formations from the 92nd airborne assault brigade and the 5th border detachment of Ukraine, resulting in the loss of up to 60 Ukrainian servicemen, four vehicles, and a 122-mm D-30 howitzer. Additionally, an ammunition depot was destroyed, further crippling the enemy's operational capabilities.
